OSHO Mandala meditation

Introduction

I have recorded some practices and techniques that have been particularly helpful on my own path toward meditation. You can practice these techniques for free using the written instructions provided, or you can support my work by accessing recorded classes that include detailed verbal and visual guidance. You are able to see a full one hour long practice through www.osho.com or contact me directly.

Please note, I am neither a dancer nor a performer. Meditation has no form, and movement in this context serves as a reference point for exploring your inner self. It’s important to distinguish between movements used for performance and those used in meditation techniques. The latter aim to help you feel light, observant, free, and joyful.

If you encounter any difficulties with the shared practices, I strongly recommend consulting myself or an experienced teacher for guidance. I am happy to answer any questions and support you as you embark on this transformative journey.

I wish you a blissful journey toward a meditative state of mind.

OSHO Mandala meditation

This practice is one hour long and is divided into four stages, each  15min long. Mandala represents a circle so we will be focusing on a circular motion here. Every circle contains a center. In the first three stages of this energetic and powerful technique “centering” is the aim, through the creation of a circle of energy. Last 15 minutes offered a deep relaxation which can happen if you allow to fully let go.

First stage

With your eyes open start running on the spot, bringing your knees up as high as possible. Let your breathing be deep and even. Keep going in this movement for 15 minutes. Start slowly and you can speed up after some time, the aim is to keep going the whole time to build up the energy and prepare energetically for the second and third stage.
( If you find jogging excessively difficult, you can lie on your back and cycle with your legs instead. It will build up enough energy for you too.)

Second stage

Sit down with eyes closed, mouth are slightly open and loose so you can allow your face and muscles to relax fully. Let your body sway from the waist, like a reed blowing in the wind- from side to side, back and forth, around and around as it happens. This will gather your awakened energies at the navel center.

Third stage

Lie on your back, keeping your head still Open your eyes and rotate them in a clockwise direction. Sweep them fully around in the sockets as if you are following the second hand of a vast clock. Start slowly, then gradually turn your eyes faster and faster. Let your mouth remain open and the jaw relaxed, with soft and even breathing. This will bring your centred energies to the third eye center.

Fourth stage

Close your eyes and be still. Relax and recharge yourself through deep stillness.
