During the initial session, we will identify the most suitable approach for you. I design each class uniquely, tailored to individual experience levels, awareness, life situations, and emotional states.
I incorporate techniques I learned in the ashram in Pune, which I find particularly effective and transformative. These traditional methods complement regular asana and pranayama work, offering a deeper path to meditation. I am here to assist you in preparing your body and mind for meditation, which requires patience, consistency, and a quiet state of being.
Meditation is not something to be rushed; it is a profound gift to be experienced in a lifetime. The slower you go, the better. Working with an experienced teacher can accelerate progress and prevent you from feeling stuck or lost.
Meditation’s beauty lies in its priceless nature. It cannot be bought or sold—it must be earned through dedication and effort. While I can guide and support you on this journey, the path must be walked by you. Please approach this practice with determination and an open mind. I prefer to work with students who are genuinely committed to self-discovery and lifelong learning, as this path requires courage and resilience. Respect for my energy, effort, and time is essential.
I also share methods and techniques that I learned not only in India but also from current teachers such as Dr. Lorin Roche, her translation of the classic text Vijnana Bhairava Tantra has been of great help to me in my own learning. This interpretation of sutras for the Western world helped me personally a lot in grasping traditional texts from Sanskrit into English, which also had a great impact on my yoga and meditation practice.
Equally beneficial to my meditation practice was Sally Kempton and her sharing of teachings from a tradition stretching back to Kashmir Shaivism. This deep traditional teaching is not easy for our western culture to grasp, so her teaching method became an important bridge for me to understand such a vast teaching and spiritual tradition, for which I thank her very much.
It is the result of your own consistent practice, which happens mainly through your home preparation and practice, it may happen immediately, it may take some time, or it may not come at all.
The slower and more patiently you are willing to work on yourself, the more solid foundations you will build foundations you will build for yourself.
To experience a meditative state (samadhi) is a gift. It cannot be bought nor can I give it to you. I can only prepare you, as best as I know, so that this state can be realized for you in this life. My guidance will help you navigate through certain phases that will occur on this journey. Frustration won’t help, and there are no shortcuts either. Perseverance, peace, gentleness and self-acceptance are the most important attributes of yoga and meditation practice.
