OSHO Devavani meditation

Introduction

I have recorded some practices and techniques that have been particularly helpful on my own path toward meditation. You can practice these techniques for free using the written instructions provided, or you can support my work by accessing recorded classes that include detailed verbal and visual guidance. You are able to see a full one hour long practice through www.osho.com or contact me directly.

Please note, I am neither a dancer nor a performer. Meditation has no form, and movement in this context serves as a reference point for exploring your inner self. It’s important to distinguish between movements used for performance and those used in meditation techniques. The latter aim to help you feel light, observant, free, and joyful.

If you encounter any difficulties with the shared practices, I strongly recommend consulting myself or an experienced teacher for guidance. I am happy to answer any questions and support you as you embark on this transformative journey.

I wish you a blissful journey toward a meditative state of mind.

OSHO Devavani meditation

In this meditation a gentle, unfamiliar language moves and speaks through the meditator, who becomes an empty vessel. It deeply relaxes the mind and creates inner peace. It can be done at any time of the day. If it is done as a last thing at night, it will create a profound sleep for you. This practice is one hour long, and it has four stages 15 minutes long each. You can keep your eyes open or closed throughout this practice.

First stage

Sit quietly, while music is playing. Breathe calmly and create a peaceful state of mind for the upcoming stages.

Second stage

Start making any sounds, just to start preparing yourself for the process to happen and sound itself. First you can start simply with la la la or any basic sound but eventually the process takes the path itself. Continue and eventually, some unfamiliar word-like sounds arise. These sounds need to come from the unknown part of your brain which we all used naturally when we were little kids, before words were learned. So the sound may have very primitive context but that is the aim. Sound itself is very powerful and offer us many important memories and information we can later on after this practice understand intellectually as well, but it is important to recognise it on this non rational layer first.

Please do not analyse it nor intellectualise it too much, otherwise you will create a block to express yourself and you want to avoid being stuck. If you can, keep yourself in a creative and explorative state of mind, remember, that we just want to explore and play with the sound coming from within. Sound actually offers us much deeper expression and it will create more space for yourself to feel fully expressed, even on the level where words can not reach. That creates liberation, satisfaction, inner peace and joy. And many blocks restored there can be realise in that way too. Feel free to express yourself as you need, allow a gentle conversational intonation, however , please avoid crying, shouting, laughing or screaming. Remain neutral while you play with your inner sound and your voice.

Third stage

Stand up and continue this unfamiliar language or sound exploration and allow your body to move softly in harmony with the sound. If your body is relaxed the subtle energies will create a latihan – a spontaneous, unstructured movement outside your control. So you will be moving your body and making a sound at the same time. More you let go of analysing it, more creativity, energy and joy you will be able to dive into.

Fourth stage

Close your eyes and be still. Relax and recharge yourself through deep stillness either lying down or sitting in a comfortable position.
